I am both thrilled and honored to serve as the principal of Lake Asbury Junior High School and look forward to working with your student. It's a privilege to be part of a community where parents, teachers, staff, and students care for each other and strive to forge positive relationships that support academic and social growth.

As a parent, former teacher, curriculum specialist, and administrator at both the junior and high school level, I highly value lifelong learning and am committed to ensuring positive school experiences for all students. We will hold ourselves and your son or daughter to the highest of expectations, and we will also strive to give your child all the support necessary to make success a reality.

At Lake Asbury Junior High, our mission is to provide top-quality learning experiences that bolster the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students. We are dedicated to ensuring your student receives a premier education that prepares them for the challenges of high school, encourages exploration of their interests, and contributes to their development into well-rounded individuals. We take pride in our comprehensive educational program, exceptional visual and performing arts curriculum, diverse range of athletic and career-technology opportunities, and numerous extra-curricular activities designed to cater to everyone's interests.

Our staff is composed of kind, caring, and highly-qualified professionals who understand their crucial role in guiding your student towards achieving their full potential. Dear Families and Lake Asbury Community,

I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with your students here on our campus at Lake Asbury Junior High.

As a classroom teacher I spent many years next door at Lake Asbury Elementary and am thankful to be back in the community.  I am able to see students now and find out that I previously taught their older brothers, sisters, and cousins…oh my!

One of the many things that make our school community so special for students is family involvement.  Students know that as a school and family unit we are working together for their long term success while working toward short term goals each week, month, quarter, semester and year.  At our high school we offer many courses for students to pursue their interests outside of their four core content classes of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  Students have the opportunity to participate in Band, Chorus, Musical Theater, Technology, Robotics, Agriculture, Hospitality and Tourism, Careers in Fashion and Interior Design, as well as Spanish. Another unique facet to our school is our STEAM program.  Students in this program apply from all over Clay County in order to attend.  During their two years of participation students are given additional learning opportunities and experiences while they begin to earn high school credits.

Having grown up here in Clay County and graduated from Middleburg High, Go Broncos!I am so honored to have spent my 23 years as an educator here in Clay County.  I don’t take lightly the awesome responsibility of the trust that the families and community have in us here at the school to send your children to us each day.  Thank you for all you do, along with the school, to provide a consistent and united front for our students.

Dear Lake Asbury Students, Families and Community members,

We welcome you to Lake Asbury Junior High School and look forward to an exciting year!

I am truly honored to be serving as an Assistant Principal at LAJH! I treasure working with our community of remarkable students, families, and staff members. I would like to thank each of you for entrusting your best and brightest to us each and every day.

I believe that strong partnerships with home and community are an essential building block to academic excellence and ensuring the best possible junior high school experience for our students. As your Assistant Principal, you can expect my continued dedication to the success of every student and staff member. I am an active learner and I am excited to experience the daily learning in classrooms with our teachers, who are among the best in Clay County!

Your involvement as parents/guardians as a vital member of your child’s educational team is essential.  Please considering joining our school's Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO) this school year. Through our PVO, families and school staff work together to provide opportunities to support our teachers and students throughout the year.

I look forward to meeting new students/families and building on existing relationships with everyone in our community! We are looking forward to a successful year and we are so glad you are here! Go Tigers!

Sincerely,
